Cookie Policy
This website sets no cookies. That is not a simplification — there are none, of any category, first-party or third-party. This page explains what that means and why there is no consent banner.
1. What we do not use
Loading any page on vistredo.co.uk results in:
- no cookies being written, essential or otherwise;
- no local storage or session storage being used;
- no analytics — there is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Cloudflare Web Analytics and no server-side page-view product;
- no advertising or measurement tags — no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no conversion tracking, no remarketing;
- no social media widgets, embeds or share buttons;
- no third-party requests at all. The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from a font CDN, so no external provider sees your IP address when you open the page.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, load any page on this site, and inspect the Application and Network panels.
2. Why there is no consent banner
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 requires consent before storing information on, or gaining access to information stored in, a user's device — unless the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has requested. Consent is required because something is being stored.
Nothing is stored here. A banner asking you to consent to cookies that do not exist would be misleading, and would itself be an unnecessary interruption. So there is not one.
3. Security processing by our hosting provider
This website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which operates the network in front of it. As part of protecting the site from attack and automated abuse, Cloudflare processes connection data — your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string. This is described in our Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare's platform is capable of setting strictly necessary security cookies (for
example __cf_bm for bot management, or cf_clearance after a
security challenge) on sites that use those features. We have not enabled them, and testing
of this site confirms that no such cookie is set in normal browsing. If a security challenge
were ever triggered by exceptional traffic, any cookie set for that purpose would be
strictly necessary within the meaning of regulation 6(4) and would not require consent.
4. Our applications are separate
Vistredo builds and operates consumer applications for iOS, Android and the web. Those products do use storage, identifiers and analytics appropriate to their function, and each is governed by its own privacy and cookie disclosures, presented within the application and on its store listing. Nothing on this page describes them.
5. Changes
If we ever introduce cookies or similar technologies on this website, we will update this page before doing so and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.
